Jayco has updated and expanded its already extensive model range for 2020, adding new pop-tops and motorhomes, while increasing pricing on some models by a few hundred to a few thousand dollars.
While the starting price of the new entry-level 19ft Starcraft caravan has increased by $800 to $47,290, a new cut-price 12ft pop-top version of the reborn Starcraft range has been introduced aimed at budget shoppers, with the choice of two rear entry, ensuite-free floorplans with either single beds or a double, priced from $26,690.
The new-look Journey caravan range has also been expanded for 2020 with the addition of a compact 17ft family version. Priced at $56,490, it has double bunks and a drop-down electric double bed to sleep four people, along with a combination shower/toilet, kitchen and dinette.
Pricing of 13ft CrossTrak variants has risen by $1000 since their launch in early-2019, while 16ft versions are also up slightly, with prices starting from $42,990.
Another change for 2020 is the smartphone and voice activation technology features introduced on the range-topping Silverline are now available as options on Jayco's more affordable caravans including the Journey.
Jayco has also introduced two new versions of its All-Terrain caravan range: an entry-level 13ft pop-top couple’s layout with combination shower/toilet for $55,990, and a 15ft full height caravan with transverse queen bed, kitchen, dinette and rear ensuite, priced at $62,490. Starting prices of the 19ft All-Terrain caravans remain at $69,990.
Jayco’s popular wind-up camper trailer range has also received a makeover with changes including a redesigned front boot and the use of ‘commercial grade’ upholstery and furniture fittings. The starting price of the new cut-price Lark family camper has risen by $1000 to $20,990.
Jayco has offset some of the price increases by boosting the standard equipment list on some of its 2020-models, like the inclusion of Sway Command stability control as standard on its Journey caravan range.
With Jayco no longer offering a compact toy hauler, its streamlined toy hauler range for 2020 now includes just two models: a 17ft Work ‘n’ Play Outback from $58,990 and a $70,990 23ft Basestation.
And with the Toyota Hiace Freedom campervan pulled from the llne-up, Jayco’s entry-level Renault Master based campervan has seen a $2000 increase to $81,900, while Jayco's entry-level 20ft Renault cab-chassis motorhome costs $3000 more, priced from $107,990.
However, Jayco has added a new range-topping, all-wheel drive campervan to its range. Priced from $149,990, the new Jayco MS.22-2 All Terrain Campervan is based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4x4 commercial van and is believed to be the first all-wheel drive motorhome released by Jayco in its 45 year history.
