Jayco adds new 'touring friends' caravan layout

Aussie RV giant responds to changing market demands with five new caravan floorplans plus a new dirt-ready campervan

Jayco is expanding its already substantial locally-built RV range with the launch of five new floorplans, in response to customer demands for larger ensuites, flexible sleeping configurations, enhanced towing capability and greater off-grid adventure.

The new layouts are available across its Adventurer, Discovery and Silverline caravan and pop-top line-up, while there's also a new limited-edition dirt-road option package available for its VW-based JRV campervan.

Filling the gaps

The new Jayco variants include a 21.66-4 Adventurer off-road hardtop caravan with 48V power package, slide-out and 4000kg ATM rating aimed at buyers with bigger tow vehicles, and an 18.57.8 Discovery with standard electric pop-top aimed at buyers seeking a large ensuite including 3.3kg washing machine, in a more compact pop-top configuration.

There's also a new 18.57.9 Discovery Pop Top with powered roof, large ensuite and twin single bed layout, aimed at two-person travellers such as touring friends or adult family members who prefer individual sleeping arrangements.

Also new is a 22.68-7 Discovery hardtop 'van aimed at extended-touring couples who want the comforts of a large ensuite and a dedicated butler's pantry, but at a cheaper price than Jayco's range-topping Silverline.

There's also a new flagship Silverline caravan: a 25.78-7 model aimed at grey nomads, which gets all the Silverline perks along with a full butler’s pantry and a spacious private bathroom.

Meanwhile, for campervan buyers the new limited-edition VW.22-2 JRV Adventurer model gets suspension upgrades, increased ground clearance and Bridgestone Dueler all terrain tyres, for more confidence when driving over dirt and bumpy tracks.

The road ahead

Jayco Australia's National Head of Sales and Marketing, Scott Jones, said the new layouts and option pack reflect the 51-year-old manufacturer's ongoing investment in customer-led innovation.

"These new floorplans have been shaped by the way Australians are travelling today and the features they're telling us matter most," he said.

The new variants are currently being rolled out to Jayco's 29 dealers, with the new VW.22-2 option available in limited numbers through participating Jayco dealerships.

Keep an eye out on the Jayco website for full details as they're released, including floorplan illustrations, specifications and pricing.
