Jayco has released a new entry-level motorhome at the 2026 NSW Caravan Camping Holiday Supershow, based on the Chinese-built LDV Deliver 9 cab-chassis.
It's the first time Australia's biggest RV manufacturer has opted to use the rear-wheel drive LDV platform, which on the new Freedom LDV.20-5 model runs the latest 128kW/420Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine and eight-speed automatic transmission.

Pitched at first motorhome buyers, the new Jayco model gets a twin berth layout with a double bed with innerspring mattress that drops down from the roof over the rear club lounge/dinette, thanks to a 12V electric lift system.
There's also a small kitchen with sink and mixer tap, two burner gas cooktop, microwave and 188L fridge/freezer.

Along the driver's side is an ensuite with separate shower cubicle and cassette toilet, while also included as standard is a Nautilus continuous hot water system, fabric upholstery, Dometic rooftop air conditioner, reversing camera, Fiamma box awning, 24in LED TV, Furrion sound system, 200Ah lithium battery with 200W solar panel and Projecta control panel, a 9kg gas bottle, and 120L fresh and 45L grey water tanks.
Options include a washing machine, leatherette upholstery, a picnic table, bike rack and a second solar panel.

The 6656mm long x 2466mm wide x 3089mm high LDV Freedom motorhome is priced from $125,400 (plus on-road costs) which easily makes it Jayco's cheapest motorised RV with a separate motorhome body.
Jayco has used the Freedom name on some entry-level campervan and cut-price motorhome models it's offered in the past, while the LDV Deliver 9 is fast becoming a popular choice as the base for a motorhome build.

A Jayco salesperson at the show said sales of the LDV Freedom motorhome would be limited to 60; something Jayco has done before with a 30-only batch of manual-transmission LE Renault campervans.
