Sydney's Suncamper Motorhomes is the latest Aussie RV manufacturer to set up shop in New Zealand.
A number of Suncamper campervan and motorhome models are being sold at the Levin RV Centre on the North Island which is also a local distributor for Melbourne-built Royal Flair caravans.
Located 95km north of Wellington, the Levin RV Centre also sells lightweight British-built Bailey caravans which were last officially sold down under in 2019.
The Suncamper brand will be officially launched in New Zealand at the Covi Caravan, Camping & Outdoor Supershow in Auckland from March 15-17, where it will be joined by other Aussie RV brands on display including Hilltop, Explorer, Jayco, Crusader, Red Centre, Titanium, and Snowy River.
As an added bonus, New Zealand show-goers will be able to view the first Sherwood Conqueror off-roader built by Suncamper that's based on a Ford Ranger, along with Suncamper's best-selling Toyota HiLux-based Sherwood 4x4 model and a luxurious Iveco Daily-based Saxby V-Series mid-size motorhome.
Suncamper is one of Australia's oldest motorhome conversion specialists, with the family-run Thornleigh, Sydney-based business tracing its roots back to 1977 when it started doing pop-top camper conversions on HiAce vans for a Toyota dealership.
