Australia's fastest-growing caravan and motorhome manufacturing 'Supergroup' has officially opened its first retail and service 'supercentre' in Pakenham, Victoria; the first of eight JB Group mega-dealerships planned for around Australia, with NSW's Newcastle next in line.
The brand-new, multi-million dollar facility located at 57 Commercial Drive, Pakenham is the latest automotive-style RV dealership to open its doors but, unlike most other caravan dealerships, boasts a premium fit-out including tiled floors, spacious viewing, reception and lounge areas, and a two-storey high ceiling with full-height windows and lots of air conditioners to keep it all pleasant for buyers during Melbourne's coldest winter and hottest summer days.
Around 16 caravans and motorhomes are currently on display in the massive indoor showroom, with other vans and campers also on display on the large concrete forecourt carpark out front.
The new mega-dealership is headed up by experienced RV retailer Daniel Jacob, who has worked for a number of caravan brands including Jayco for 17 years, before taking on the dealer principal role at the JB Pakenham Supercentre.
Also on site is a state-of-the-art service and repair workshop, as well as a well-stocked parts and accessories shop run by JB's ETime business, while the yard will also be used to sell used RVs.
JB Group CEO Chris Polites said it was a significant milestone in JB Caravans' 15-year history with all JB Group brands including JB, New Age, Traveller, Paradise and LBT represented under the one roof for the first time.
"It's a very large investment in not only the business but the industry as well," he said.
Caravan Industry Victoria CEO Daniel Sahlberg said the new JB flagship showroom looks "better" than a Mercedes-Benz dealership and sets "a new standard in the industry for what a dealership looks like".
JB Caravans founder Alex Pi said it was one of the largest investments in the retail space for the Australian caravan industry, with the aim to provide the best customer retail experience in the market.
"We aim to re-set the benchmark so we can provide better customer service and a better perception of the industry into the future," he said.
"This is a state-of-the-art facility, as we continue to invest in Australian manufacturing. The JB Group will produce around 3000 vehicles this year, in three locations and employs over 350 people, and across the Group we have built more than 40,000 caravans and motorhome over the past 16 years."
The wide variety of JB Group products on display include JB's best selling model, the Gator X, along with the newly-introduced LBT models and a Queensland-built Paradise motorhome.
JB Caravans built its first caravan in 2010, and acquired Paradise Motor Homes in 2023, followed by Traveller Caravans and New Age Caravans in 2024. It also runs the ETime RV Centre and Ecopower World which distributes Chinese-made EcoFlow power products.
Altogether the JB Group currently offers a range of aluminium-framed and full-composite bodied touring and off-road caravans, composite hybrid caravans, campervans and motorhomes, and is also about to launch a new range of compact caravans under the Traveller brand. With Melbourne headquarters it operates three Australian RV manufacturing facilities; two in Melbourne and one on the Gold Coast.
JB Group Pakenham is offering a number of opening deals, including a $2000 factory cashback on many models, for a limited time. It's also providing family entertainment including a petting zoo, face painting and sausage sizzle on-site from 9am-3pm, Saturday March 29.
