Melbourne's Titanium Caravans is dipping its toe in the full composite, big off-road caravan market with the launch of a new $200,000 off-grid, tandem axle model.
Blending elements of its hybrid CS composite range and aluminium-framed, square-front WS1 range-topper, the new 21ft big-lap luxury tourer is available with both couple and family bunk layouts, and is the first full size, full height composite caravan from the 14-year-old Aussie upmarket RV manufacturer.

It's also the brand's first 'timber free' 'van, with reinforced fibreglass sandwich panel walls and roof and a honeycomb composite floor, together with powdercoated aluminium cabinetry with Relite PET foam partitions made by Titanium's Wolf Fabrication business.
"Composite caravans have really exploded into the market the last few years... so we thought it was time to build a full-size caravan after a couple of years of building the hybrids," explained Titanium CEO Jason Grech.

Titanium says the new CS1 is lighter than equivalent aluminium-frame Titanium models while offering similar strength and durability.
"Composite caravans when you see one roll over they just blow up into a million pieces," Grech said.
"In the (sandwich) panels anywhere where we need to screw into it, or the entry door, or join the panel, we put solid PVC blocks we can screw into, so it's super strong. And where the panels interlock it's a PVC block, it's not just foam and fibreglass being glued together."

The CS1 also gets a new-design flat floor chassis, and a Mountain Trail-style vertical integrated storage box on the extended A-frame, with room for a BBQ slide and bikes.
Other 'big van' Titanium features include an integrated front light bar with amber LED option, Wolf Fabrication rear platform bar and wing, and trim kit, while outdoor living features borrowed from the HS hybrid range include a big slide-out kitchen, entertainment hatch and a Zone hybrid-like internal/external pantry with integrated table.

The Titanium CS1 comes standard with a 600Ah lithium battery system with 3000VA inverter, 1000W rooftop solar and Victron battery management, along with 330L freshwater and 110L grey water storage.
It rides on Cruisemaster XT BCS self levelling airbag suspension, with ventilated disc brakes, 16inch Method Race wheels and Maxxis RAZR AT811 rubber.

There's no mention of specific weights but the fitment of a Cruisemaster DO-45 coupling suggests a three tonne-plus Tare and ATM in the 4000-4500kg range. External length is listed at 9025mm, with 6450mm (internal length) and 2260mm (internal width).
The 'gas-less' set up includes an Eberspacher diesel water/space heater, Dometic Fresh Jet air-conditioner, Dometic 216L compressor fridge, an external fridge, portable induction hotplate, rangehood, microwave, washing machine, 27in TV and Fusion Bluetooth stereo.

The CS1 also gets a dust reduction system, external shower, Sirocco fans, Separett Tiny compost toilet, and Starlink-ready connections.
While 'luxe' interior finishes include a queen pillowtop mattress and timber-slat style acoustic headboard, diamond stitched upholstery and premium bowls and tapware.

Two layouts are available: an east-west king bed with side club lounge/dinette, kitchenette, full width rear ensuite and two or three bunks, or a couple's floorplan with island queen bed and roomier rear ensuite.
The Titanium CS1 takes on other top-notch timber-free offerings from the likes of Zone RV and Mountain Trail, while adding to the growing number of local caravan models built using frame-less sandwich panel construction methods.
It will be on display at the Let’s Go Queensland Caravan & Camping Supershow at the Brisbane Showgrounds (June 3-7). Or check out the CS1 launch video here.
