The 800mm slide-out adds significantly to the van's living space, while the van itself – like the rest of the Zone RV range – is built using advanced materials and manufacturing techniques using knowledge gleaned from the firm's sister companies in the marine, aeronautical, transport and civil composite industries.
As such the model is a fully timberless build, adopting instead a composite body and a monocoque construction. The van rides on an RHS DuraGal steel chassis and Vehicle Components' Cruisemaster ATX off-road independent airbag suspension.
The slide-out is operated by a switch by the van's door and can be extended either fully or partially as required.
Standard inclusions range from the full ensuite bathroom with shower and toilet to solar power, generous water storage and a Dometic awning, while the van pictured has been optioned up with a Dometic generator, extended L-shaped kitchen bench, and a VANSAT Bluestar Automatic TV satellite system.
The slide-out and upgraded suspension add an extra 200kg to the van's tare weight, pushing the figure to 2790kg.
The Z-20.6 Off-road Slide-Out retails for $128,900.
