Buyers shopping for a more affordable towable RV now have some fresh options to choose from, with the new X Series RV range of pod campers, hybrids and toy haulers making its debut at the 2024 Queensland Caravan Supershow in early June.
Launched by the same experienced Australian RV team that recently took over Queensland's Sunland Caravans, the new imported X Series range made a big splash at the Brisbane Showgrounds with just about every example of the new range on display.
This included a compact, entry level, two-berth pod camper priced at $33,990, and a similarly specced family pod camper ($43,990). The easy-towing X Pulse couple's camper has a Tare weight of just 1000kg and comes with plenty of gear including mud tyres, a DO35 hitch and independent coil suspension, plus camping essentials like a twin gas burner cooktop, 65L fresh water tank, diesel heater, stereo, TV, awning and a 150Ah lithium battery set-up.
The X Volt four-berth family pod has a similar set of features but comes in a bit heavier at 1100kg Tare, while also on display was the larger X Surge pod camper trailer ($48,990) that can accommodate up to six family members within its compact layout.
For those who like to travel with some motorised toys or other large recreational equipment, the X Series range also includes the 19ft four berth, X Terra Hard Roof toy hauler ($81,990), and the smaller five berth 16ft, X Play hard roof toy hauler ($75,990).
The 19ft X Terra includes a large rear garage with drop down bunks and a front double bed, ensuite and kitchen, along with plenty of other features including a 300Ah lithium battery set-up with 400W rooftop solar and 3000W inverter.
Also on display was the more basic X Path 'toy hauler' camper trailer ($49,990) which boasts a big 1500kg payload, slide-out kitchen, two 120Ah batteries, stereo, off-road suspension, and a two-berth roof tent, among its standard kit.
Covering off the popular mid-size hybrid segment is the 15ft four-berth, X Voyager pop-top with electric roof and manual rear slide-out bed ($69,990) and the 16ft X Navigator hardtop hybrid caravan that sleeps up to five people and comes with all "the luxuries of home" for its $70,990 price tag.
All up, the new X Series RV range runs to 11 models, including three pod campers, five hybrids and three toy haulers. The range is currently available at dealers in Victoria, Queensland and South Australia. Further details on the X Series RV website.
