After displaying a concept at the 2024 CES show in Las Vegas, California start-up AC Future has unveiled a working prototype of its futuristic AI-TH ultra-expandable motorhome at this year's show.
Teaming up with Pinafarina and Hydra Design Labs, the AC Future AI-THd (AI Transformer Home, Drivable) features slide-out modules on three sides that help transform the eye-catching vehicle from a 20ft long RV into an apartment on wheels.
The three expandable sections create a large open plan interior living, eating and sleeping space with up to 37sq.m of flexible floorspace in total. There's also the option to convert the cockpit into a mobile office or second bedroom and remove the furniture when not in use.
Powered by a battery or diesel powerplant, the motorhome boasts a rooftop solar charging system to help keep all the appliances running, along with other modern necessities like a water-generating unit, AI-enabled smart technologies, active monitoring, dual-zone climate control and a multi-zone sound system.

According to Hydra Design Labs which built the working prototype, the AI-THD is "a zero-emissions housing solution that transforms at the push of a button into a 400 sq. ft. smart home... The Ai-TH is a revolution in sustainable mobile living and the ultimate example of how smart design can deliver real-world solutions."
No word on pricing yet but prospective buyers can place a $100 deposit at the AC Future website. Final production versions are expected to roll out by late-2026.
