A wireless trailer interface and anti-theft system designed and assembled locally for the RV market, has won a major prize in an annual West Australian government innovator awards program.
Perth-based Leisure Technologies picked up the 2023 WA Innovator of the Year Awards' Rio Tinto Growth Innovation Category winner for the ongoing development and commercial success of its technologically advanced WiTi products, designed for use on towable RVs to prevent theft and provide advanced braking supports to improve safety.

The WA Innovator of the Year Awards is a West Australia Government program run by the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI) with the aim to showcase the state's brightest innovators and entrepreneurs.
WiTi is a 'pure-play' West Australian company with all its functions including manufacturing located at its base in Joondalup.

It launched its 'world first' trailer anti-theft device around six years ago, and its current suite of products includes a wireless break controller, wireless towing set-up, and a caravan-tracking GPS system.
