Winnebago releases Black Label van

Winnebago Australia to unveil nine new caravan and motorhome variants at Brisbane show

Winnebago Australia is set to launch nine new models at the Queensland Caravan Show (June 8-13) including a new ‘Black Label’ version of its latest Burke caravan.

In what could be a first for the Australian RV industry, the two-year old Winnebago Australia is also introducing a new ‘create your weight’ option that allows buyers to choose their own payload or aggregate trailer mass (ATM) on a new caravan.

All Winnebago Australia caravans will be available with up to three different capacity options for the payload and aggregate tare mass (ATM).

“For example, working with a base Tare weight of 1800kg, the new Winnebago Burke 580B offers customers a payload capacity of 300kg, 500kg or 700kg and corresponding ATM capacity of 2100kg, 2300kg or 2500kg,” explained Winnebago Australia Business Development Manager Richie Fort.

“We believe ‘create your weight’ will become a market-leading option for customers whose preferences for lightweight models or increased payload dominate their purchasing decisions.”

Winnebago will display two new layout options for its 19ft Burke caravan, both three-berth but without a slide-out and retailing from $62,490.

The new 22-foot Winnebago Mossman caravan will also make its debut in Queensland, with three floorplans available offering a choice of three, four or five berths; some with slide-out walls.

Like the Burke, the new Mossman vans feature a unique continuous rail chassis design, tandem axle Al-Ko IRS suspension and an eye-catching white and red gelcoat fibreglass exterior.

Retailing from $68,490 to $74,990, the feature-packed Mossman models will feature 2000kg-plus Tare weights with a 320 to 770kg payload depending on model.

Winnebago will also unveil its new six-berth Burleigh motorhome built on an Iveco chassis in Brisbane. The C-Class motorhome will initially be available with three floorplans including a rear fixed-double bed or club lounge, along with a fixed double bed in the overhead Luton peak .

The Burleigh should also appeal to families with two child seat harnesses fitted as standard. It will be rated up to 5200kg and priced from $134,990.
