Overtaking with a caravan is always fraught with danger, but this is what happens when you completely get it wrong...
The terrifying scene unfolded in the UK recently when the driver of a Ford Mondeo wagon towing a Lunar Quasar caravan recklessly attempted to cut in front of a slow-moving truck.
Captured on a dash-mounted camera in the truck, it appears the caravanner was trying to get in front of the truck after running out of space when two lanes merged into one.
Losing control, the caravan swipes a road sign, taking a big chunk out of the back, before the car swerves across the road and into a fence on the other side.
Not surprisingly, the lightweight, UK-built caravan was destroyed in the process.
With debris strewn up and down the road in Glastonbury in the south-west of England, police closed the road temporarily following the crash, but apparently no-body was hurt in the accident.
