More musical acts, prizes and entertainment have been added to the jam-packed three-day schedule of Caravanning Queensland's new RV-themed rock festival, Van Jam.
Blending elements of a traditional capital-city caravan show with themed Outback camping and music festivals like the Big Red Bash, the inaugural Van Jam will take place at Queensland's Willowbank Raceway from September 22-24.
For non-stop entertainment on the main stage over the long week-end the organisers are promising a "killer mix of Aussie rock legends and emerging talents" with the latest line-up including Daryl Braithwaite, Russell Morris, Frente, The Radiators, 8 Ball Aitken, Lecia Louise, Adam Brand, Eskimo Joe, Fanny Lumsden, Thirsty Merc, Vixens of Fall and Sue Ray.
While other highlights during the all-ages event will include "heaps of demos, workshops and activities for kids and adults alike, premium food trucks, on-site bars, and camping options galore".
A caravan trade show with a difference, The Off Road Off Grid Expo, will run daily in the Trade Precinct, along with a Mini Van kid's entertainment zone, and daily demos and interactive workshops in the Off Road Proving Ground & Test Pad.
Well known Aussie RV brands including JB Caravans, Cruisemaster, MDC Campers and CIL Insurance have thrown their support behind the inaugural event, while Austrack Campers will run the 'Pop Top'', a multi-purpose area providing various entertainment and activities throughout the festival.
Austrack is also giving away a $19,990 Simpson X rooftop tent trailer as the major prize at the three day event.
One and two-day passes are available online, with a one day adult pass listed at $98 and a two day adult pass at $186. Youth (5-17) passes are around half the cost of adults, with children four and under free.
