Value-packed new Lotus LCX range makes show debut

Melbourne's Lotus Caravans unveiled a new LCX model range at the 2025 Queensland Caravan & Camping Supershow, which is designed to package the most desirable Lotus caravan features at a more affordable price-point for buyers.

Available on Lotus' popular Freelander and Off Grid models, the new LCX option is available on eight different family and couple layouts, and body lengths from 18ft 9in to 23ft 6in.

Externally, all LCX variants get the Gen-2 Supergal chassis with Cruisemaster XT suspension and all-terrain tyres,and with black checker plate armour, a black rear bumper and a flat-top toolbox up front. They also stand out with a new 2025 Stealth graphic kit including new signature LCX badging.

While standard off-grid power includes a 300Ah Enerdrive lithium battery system with a 2600W inverter and 750W rooftop solar.

Lotus said the new LCX 'vans are "built for travellers who want the strength and performance of our best-selling Freelander and Off Grid models, while delivering exceptional value for a more accessible caravanning experience. Each off-road LCX caravan is engineered with tough specifications and smart inclusions, with the premium build quality that Lotus Caravans is famous for".

The 22ft Lotus Freelander LCX couple's caravan on display at the Brisbane Showgrounds had an advertised starting price of $146,895 (tow-away), but came loaded up with optional accessories including the $16,500 G5 LC Customs pack (external LCC Premium Entertaining Pack, LCC Stealth Solar Panel Bracket, LCC Drag Wing, etc), plus a Mipa-coated bumper and accessories, Hafele handle pack and LCC number plate holder -- bringing the final (tow-away Qld) price to $164,445.

Plated Tare mass of the show 'van on the Lawrence RV dealer stand was 3100kg, with an ATM of 3495kg delivering a payload of 395kg.

The spacious front bedroom/centre ensuite/rear club lounge layout is one of five floorplans available in the LCX Freelander couple's range, while there are three family bunk layouts to choose from with the LCX Off Grid option.

All LCX 'models 'vans get a Euromaid convection instead of the usual microwave and mini grill, as one of a number of changes inside. An LC Customs Power Stack with a plug-and-play control centre and Starlink-ready connections are also part of the deal.

Lotus has also announced a '25.2' G3 Series update across its entire off-road caravan range, which includes the manufacturer's AL+ aluminium frame construction now standard across all off-road models, and new fibreglass walls for the Trooper model.
