Queensland-based Talvor hasn't wasted any time expanding its local caravan line-up by adding two new, premium models, manufactured at its newly-established factory in California, USA.
Priced from $65,290 tow-away, the new 22ft 7in (6.8m) two-berth 680A model is the new flagship of Talvor's caravan range, boasting a slide-out section that creates up to 25 per cent more living area.
With a Tare weight of 2315kg, ATM of 2750kg and ball weight of approximately 290kg, the 680A offers a conventional layout of queen-sized island bed up front, centrally-located dinette/lounge and kitchen area, and rear ensuite.
The standard equipment list extends to leather upholstery, roof-mounted air conditioner, hot/cold external shower, LED lighting, 22inch TV/DVD and MP3/CD/FM audio system, two 9kg gas bottles, battery system, 4.8m rollout awning, and 148 fresh water tank with water filters.
Options available include a reversing camera, portable BBQ package, washing machine, heater/furnace, additional 100aH battery and 12 volt electric awning.
Also built in the US, the new 750C model has a similar hot dipped galvanized chassis with tandem axles and front bed/rear ensuite layout to the 680A, but it's body is constructed from a fibreglass sandwich as opposed to the smaller van’s aluminium cladding.
With an overall length of 29ft 1in (8.87m) – and 24ft 2in (7.37m long body) – the 750C is now the longest 'van in Talvor’s range, with the “extra space allowing for a very spacious ‘Club Lounge’ dinette, and excellent separation of sleeping, bathing, cooking and relaxation areas”, according to Talvor.
The 750C’s Tare weight is listed at 2500kg and ATM at 2800kg (no ball weight is provided), with provision for 164 litres of fresh water.
Priced from $74,990, the 750C is also extensively fitted out with leather upholstery, four-burner gas grill and oven, 175 litre three-way fridge, roll-out awning, and 2.2kg top loader washing machine.
Options include water filters, reversing camera, independent suspension, electronic stability control, fold down external picnic table, and Wineguard antenna.
Like Talvor’s other caravan models built at the company’s Queensland factory, the latest models feature Al-Ko running gear and have been extensively tested to cope with harsh Australian conditions.
The new US-built models increase Talvor’s local range to five main models, with “a further eight caravans currently under development” according to the manufacturer.
The new caravans will be shown to the public for the first time at Talvor’s next 'factory direct sale' at its Queensland headquarters in Northgate on February 21-23.
