UPDATE November 28: The Pink Minnie Winnie has sold for $32,197, after five bidders submitted 35 bids for the unique van, over the 10 day auction period...
Here’s your chance to own the only pink Winnebago Minnie caravan in Australia.
The pastel pink, 4.8-metre long, three-birth 1806AUS model was part of a batch of bright, US-built ‘Minnie Winnie ’caravans imported into the country by Apollo Motorhome Holidays about two years ago.
Its compact layout packs in a double bed, full kitchen, dinette and corner bathroom, as well as a number of features including a roof-mounted air-conditioning, 186 litre fridge, microwave and 19in TV.
The smallest Winnebago Minnie caravan was priced new at around $45,000, and despite travelling around the country is said to be in “pristine condition”. It also offers easy towing with a fully loaded (ATM) weight of less than two tonnes.
NBCF CEO Professor Sarah Hosking said proceeds from the sale of the Pink Minnie would help the charity accelerate its life-changing breast cancer research programs.
“On average, every day in Australia, eight women will succumb to their battle with breast cancer – eight daughters, wives, sisters, mums. It is eight too many,” Professor Hosking said.
“It is entirely thanks to donations and fundraising initiatives like this charity auction that enables NBCF to fund research into the prevention and better treatment of breast cancer.”
The on-line auction kicks off on November 17 at 8pm. Click here to make a bid.
