EarthCruiser USA is offering buyers the "opportunity to own a piece of automotive history", with the no.1 GMC Hummer EV EarthCruiser up for sale.
"We are selling the very first GMC Hummer EV EarthCruiser to one lucky owner at a price of (US) $130,000," the Oregan-based off-road truck camper specialist said.

"This vehicle was developed in partnership with GM and was featured at Overland Expo Mountain West and the Chicago Auto Show. Our founders, Lance and Michelle, drove it from our headquarters in Bend, Oregon, to and from the Chicago show..."
Believed to be the first EV truck camper set for production, the one-of-a-kind expedition vehicle features carbon-fibre construction with a custom grey paint scheme, upgraded wheels, and an electric pop-up roof comprising a triple-layer insulated curtain that expands to fit a full-sized bed.

The kitchenette includes an induction cooktop, fridge/freezer, hot water, and filtration system, while exterior cabinets provide easy access to recovery gear on one side and an outdoor hot water shower on the other.
The off-grid onboard power system includes a 605W solar array, 6kWh lithium-ion battery, and a CZone touchscreen control panel.

One of the most capable GM off-roaders to date, the GMC Hummer EV comes with a suite of standard and optional features to help it tackle tough terrain, including adjustable ride height and a Crab Walk function that allows it to move diagonally.
Its immense power and torque combine with the direct drive of its electric motors – a trait of most off-road EVs and PHEVs – to provide the big electric dual-cab with almost infinite throttle control when crawling along or up rough terrain.

The standard GMC Hummer EV is powered by three permanent magnet motors outputting about 745kW of power and 1625Nm of torque, fed by a huge 212.7kWh lithium-ion battery that takes as little as 24 minutes to charge via a 350kW DC fast-charger.
The five-seat dual-cab 4x4 pick-up weighs about 4265kg, yet is claimed to hit 60mph (97km/h) in just three seconds. Towing capacity is less noteworthy at 3400kg, and base pricing in North America starts at $US108,700 ($A162K).
Production versions of the GMC Hummer RV slide-on camper unit are expected to roll out sometime in 2024.
