Current and potential customers turned up in droves for Track Trailer’s Open Day in late November, with an estimated 600-plus attending the 5th annual event – many attracted by the opportunity to view the new fifth-generation Tvan for the first time. Held several weeks earlier than previously to avoid the pre-Christmas rush, the one-day event at Outback HQ in Melbourne’s Bayswater North featured a display of all current Track Trailer and Bolwell RV camper trailers and hybrids, along with James Baroud and ARB accessories, with many items discounted for the day. Tours of the Track Trailer factory were particularly popular and ran throughout the day, while all visitors went into the draw to win a range of ‘door’ prizes donated by suppliers, who were represented in force showcasing canvas design, latch, slide and locking mechanisms.
The punters were also offered special deals on in-stock items such as jerry cans, ARB gear and premium antennas.
Entertainment throughout the day was provided by Blackwood, a three-piece rock band, while the Belgrave South and Heights CFA team ran a non-stop sausage sizzle.
Track Trailer’s Marketing Manager Lloyd Waldron said that the day resulted in an estimated six direct sales of new and used Track Trailers, representing a similar result to a public trade fair or regional show.
One thing the visitors were not shown during their tour was the new ‘Family Room’ option on the Topaz Hybrid Pop-Top that is due to be announced prior to Christmas. By reconfiguring the top-hinged rear shower pod, the Melbourne manufacturer has been able to offer a separate fold out bunk room for children, while retaining the Topaz’s external shower.
