Trakka goes down all-electric 48V route

NSW motorhome builder heads further upmarket with new off-grid battery and appliance package as standard across MY25 range

Sydney's Trakka is the latest Australian RV company to fit the powerful EcoFlow 48V off-grid battery system to all its premium campervans and motorhomes.

For its latest MY25 range of Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz-based touring and off-road models, the 50-year-old campervan conversion specialist will roll out the EcoFlow 5kWh lithium battery (equivalent to 416Ah) as standard across its model range, expandable to 10kWh or even 15kWh on some of its longer wheel base models.

Trakka MY25 range will be available with 5kWh, 10KWh or 15kWh EcoFlow battery systems

Other off-grid 'home away from home' features to be fitted as standard across the Trakka MY25 models include a dual induction cooktop, 150 litre fridge/freezer and 500W solar, while an electric water heater and ducted room cooling and heating will replace a more traditional roof-mounted air conditioner and diesel space heater as Trakka goes 'all-electric' when it comes to off-grid power and fuel.

Taking advantage of the higher capacity EcoFlow battery and inverter systems, the new MY25 Trakkas will also be loaded up with the latest 'home away from home' electrical appliances including an underbench Panasonic 4-in-1 combination convection microwave and Midea dishwasher and fruit/veg washer, an external Ninja Kitchen woodfire electric BBQ, L’OR Barista coffee machine, boot-mounted washing machine, a portable Dyson vacuum and Dyson bladeless fan with heating, cooling and air purifying, and a portable Nebula Cosmos Laser 4K projector and Elite screen for watching movies under the stars.

The MY25 Trakka models will also come with 'Ready to escape' packs such as outdoor table and chairs set, a foldable external camp kitchen, dinnerware and cup sets, kitchen utensil basics, and cookware and bathroom essentials.

Appearance wise, the MY25 Trakka models will benefit from new hardware including drawer catches, taps and an overhead shower in black and brushed gold, as well as new embossed acoustic lining panels, while a number of interior decor themes will be on offer including a traditional monochrome industrial look, natural country living feel and a mid-century modern vibe.

Trakka is heading further upmarket with its latest MY25 range of full off-grid motorhomes

Trakka CEO Alister Berry said the jam-packed new MY25 specification aims to set a new standard benchmark in the campervan market.

"While building on our existing strengths, the MY25 offering was designed to enhance customer comfort and choice, bringing a seamless at-home experience to life on the road. Our aim was to prioritise simplicity and competitiveness, eliminating compromises for our customers," Berry said.

Trakka joins a number of other Aussie RV manufacturers in offering the new EcoFlow 48V 'plug 'n play' and expandable lithium battery systems, including JB Caravans, Paradise Motorhomes and Legend Caravans.

Trakka said on its website it will reveal "more groundbreaking features" for its MY25 range in coming weeks.
