Track unveils first family van

Bunk bed Concerto completes new ‘Topaz replacement’ T4 range

Melbourne’s Track Trailer has just built its first ‘Family Van’, with the Concerto bunk bed pop-top hybrid completing the roll-out of its new three-model Topaz replacement range.

T4 Concerto is Track Trailer's first family van

Similar in its weight (1855kg with options) and overall dimensions (4590mm interior length, 2055mm width and 2550mm height) to the couples Symphony and Rhapsody that both made their public debut at the Victorian Caravan Supershow in February, the Concerto swaps the large internal kitchen of the Symphony and internal shower-toilet of the Rhapsody for twin single bunks across its rear wall.

Like the Symphony, the Concerto’s emphasis is on outdoor living, featuring Track’s large pull-out Premium stainless steel three-burner kitchen with its glass-topped sink with storage drawers and rear drop-down external shower pod of the Symphony.

Two bunk beds instead of an internal ensuite or larger kitchen

Again, as with the Symphony, a portable toilet is located in an internal drawer that slides out from under the door-end of the lower rear bunk bed where it can be accessed internally, or relocated into the shower tent for longer stays.

Unlike the Symphony, which comes with a four-burner inside cooktop and a built-in grill, there is no fixed provision for internal cooking in the Concerto – just a stainless steel sink with a hot/cold mixer tap. However it can be supplied with sufficient adjacent bench-space to accommodate a portable induction electric cooktop of the type than can be purchased separately from places like Aldi and Bunnings.

Kids won't roll out of this!

An under-bench 130-litre Isotherm upright fridge/freezer is built into the internal sink module, complementing the fridge-drawer that can be optioned to slide-out beside the external kitchen.

Back inside, there’s sleeping accommodation for a family of six, with the adults enjoying the comfort of the front transverse high-density foam queen bed, teenagers vertically stacked in the rear bunks and younger family members sleeping on the two three-seater settees that flank each wall.

Design and finish is typical Track Trailer

An interesting feature of the rear bunks is the thick bulwark that  prevents sleepers in the upper bunk rolling out at night, while there are handy built-in storage drawers below the lower bunk.

A central large central-pole table can be erected in between these settees for internal dining, or buyers will be able to option Track’s cleverly-designed slideway table that is housed beneath the main bed when not in use.

Portable dunny is neatly housed away when not in use

As with other models in the T4 collection, Concertos delivered in 2019 will all come with Track’s ‘First Edition Pack’ that includes items that are expected to be popular options on those delivered from January next year.

Adding a mandatory $12,020 to the Concerto’s base price of $109,480, these items include a fresh water upgrade of a second 130-litre tank, with the ability to draw from a creek, a Power Upgrade consisting of a Redarc Manager30 battery charger, a DC-DC charger with solar regulation, a 700W Redarc Inverter and a second Sirocco 12v fan.

Trick table hides away too

A RedVision management system with Bluetooth control, an electronic pop-top roof lift, a power-operated awning and electronic central locking of all internal drawers is also included in the Pack, as is the fold-away table.

As with the other T4 models, the Concerto is now available for order, with deliveries commencing from September this year.

Updates on production T4s

As with most early production models, Track has made a number of small, detail changes that customers will take delivery of from September.

New standard features based on early customer feedback include grab handles on the nose cone, which now has an interior light; a new and improved RedVision and circuit switching panel on which buttons now glow when circuits are on – e.g. blue for water; interior blinds are now fitted with magnets to lock them in any position against the frame to prevent rattling and the novel and optional under-bed pop-up table now features central locking like the T4’s drawers, while a higher backed seat as an is now an option.

Track has already made some minor changes across new T4 range

Externally, Track has changed the look of all T4 models, with the lower body now finished in white gloss, while the former silver stripe has been removed to refine its profile. While a range of highlight colours is available, the standard finish on the T4’s signature aluminium skeletal highlights remain Red for Symphony, Black for Concerto and Maroon for Rhapsody models.

A new option for buyers is Topaz-style metal benchtops instead of laminate for hardcore Track enthusiasts.
