Leading RV builder Paradise Motor Homes has taken out the 'Best Motor Home in Australia' award handed out by the NRMA's RV Magazine. The award comes as the popularity of motor homes booms thanks to increasing numbers of grey nomads heading off to discover Australia.
Paradise's 'Freetime' was selected by the judges to take out the top category. The magazine wasn't short on praise of the Freetime comparing it to a "cool inner-city apartment" and declaring it "awesome."
"Class on wheels accurately describes the luscious Freetime," said judge, Anthony Kilner. "This motorhome is utterly magnificent."
He added: "The gang at Paradise are the most passionate designers and builders in the country and standing still is not in their vocab."
Based on a Mercedes-Benz 315CDI cab chassis the Freetime is equipped with an automatic transmission, rear-wheel drive and the typical Mercedes safety features.
The team at Paradise craft a spacious living area that includes a double-bed, bathroom with shower, kitchen, dining area lounge, air-conditioning and plenty of storage space.
Paradise General Manager Ben MacLean was understandably delighted that his company has scooped such an award and paid tribute to his team of 40 staff.
"We strive to make the design and fitout to be the very best quality," MacLean said.
The Freetime is one of three models in Paradise's Freedom Series alongside the Oasis and Inspiration. The company also offer two models, the Liberation and Independence, as part of its Prestige Series.
Prices for the Paradise range start at $120,000.
