Two articles highlighting some of the dodgy practises in the Australian caravan manufacturing industry, were among the 10 most popular news stories posted on Caravancampingsales during 2016.
The most widely read, based on number of ‘clicks’ generated, was a story about leading RV repairer, Barry Davidson’s latest, controversial call to expose shonky builders with an official enquiry into the caravan manufacturing industry. Reflecting the growing interest in smaller caravans, more than half of the 10 most popular models reviewed in 2016 measured 13ft (body length) or less, from a funky, Queensland-built teardrop camper to a chunky Melbourne-built, full height off-road model.
And proving there’s still plenty of life left in traditional canvas three, albeit well-equipped ‘tent’ campers also made it into the top-10…
