Built on a DuraGal steel chassis and featuring hot dipped galvanised ramps and galvanised drawbar, these trailers weigh in at a svelte 300kg and can carry a car up to 1500kg. Carrying a vehicle up to 2000kg is possible, but you will need to get Challenge to fit electric brakes to the trailer. Heavier vehicles require a tandem setup, which Challenge also builds.
Because it's a tilting trailer, it is pretty easy for one person to drive the car straight onto the ramps and then let gravity do the rest.
The basic trailer looks good value at $5950 if bought straight from the Challenge factory, and individual quotes are available for different braking configurations and tandem axles.
