Tourism Holdings Limited is boosting its already substantial Australian RV retail and rental network with the purchase of big South Australian dealership Camperagent.
THL is set to pay around $11.9 million for Adelaide-based Camperagent RV, a multi-brand new and used RV business with a number of popular makes on offer including Concept, Newlands, Avida, Xtour, Highclere and Hitch Hika.
Established over 25 years ago, the family run business located in Parafield Gardens, 16km north-west of Adelaide, has one of the biggest yards and service facilities spread over 29,000sq.m or three hectares, including expansive indoor and outdoor display areas and a huge drive-through service centre.
Dual-listed THL merged with Apollo Tourism in late-2022 to form one of the biggest RV retail and rental operations in the Southern hemisphere, and the purchase of Camperagent boosts THL's already expansive nationwide network, which includes Apollo RV Sales at various sites, West Australia's George Day Caravans, Sydney RV and Queensland's Kratzmann.
Retail brands currently under the THL umbrella include Winnebago, Windsor, Coromal, Adria, Kea and Talvor, while rental brands include Apollo, Maui, Britz, Mighty and Hippie.
THL CEO Grant Webster said the purchase of Camperagent is "more than just an expansion of its retail footprint in Adelaide".
"It represents an opportunity to offer an extended product and service range, bringing together the best of both companies," he said. "This acquisition is a milestone in our journey to provide the most comprehensive and customer-centric RV retail experience in Australia."
