Market downturn aside, it's been an exciting year for new product releases in the ever-changing Australian RV industry.
Here are 15 of our favourite, locally-designed and/or built caravan, motorhome, camper trailer and slide-on releases of the year...

Patriot Campers' exuberant frontman Justin Montesalvo admitted it was "something we said we’d never do"...
But we're glad the ever innovative Gold Coast manufacturer did decide to build the 7.0m long ST7 Supertourer hybrid; essentially a larger, more comfortable version of the jaw-dropping SEMA-special, ST5 Supertourer Finke Edition released a year earlier.

We're yet to get up close and personal with the new Patriot range-topper, but if it's anything like the stunning ST5 that's been touring the show circuit in 2025, the design, engineering and build quality (let alone the top-notch features list) should be enough to justify its hefty $225K-plus price tag.
Like Patriot, Brisbane's Kedron is another leader in the Aussie RV industry; first to market with many innovation and design trends and providing inspiration for other locally based off-road caravan builders.
It never rushes new products to market, testing and refining them like the Kedron Solar Wing that's built to withstand 60km/h winds.

Not content with building Australia's first triple axle, six tonne 'van, Kedron produced the first tandem axle version for a customer in 2025.
Why is this significant? It's a lesson for other manufacturers on how to properly go about building a big 'van packed with all the off-grid gear that cashed-up buyers want, while still fully compliant and delivering a decent payload together with 1000L water storage, for long-term, off-grid touring.
While it probably requires a couple of tweaks before customer deliveries begin, the first Royal Flair motorised RV in 50 years that lobbed at the Melbourne Leisurefest in September, proves you don't have to follow the crowd when it comes to designing a campervan layout.

With design input from his Gen Z daughter, Royal Flair boss Billy Deralas delivers a few novel touches with the simply named 'RV Campervan' of the type we've come to expect over the years from Royal Flair, like an internal 'slide out' shower and toilet cubicle that helps free up valuable floorspace at the front of the 'van when not being used.
Titanium didn't invent the Aussie 'tough nut' caravan, but it's taking it to new levels with the two eye-catching, upmarket models it released in 2025; the bold 4500kg ATM TS1 toy hauler and boxy WS1 off-grid off-road caravan flagship.
Making good use of its Melbourne-based Wolf Fabrication division, the well-equipped 24ft 8in Titanium TS1 toy hauler stands out with its novel two-part access to the rear 'garage' and proper caravan layout.
While the Titanium WS1 couple or family 'van gets a dramatic square-front body design that not only allows the fitment of full-height aluminium toolbox compartments up front, but a more functional layout including the option of an apartment-style front bathroom.
With a lot of debate about over-loaded 4x4 utes, it's good to see an Aussie business tackling the issue head on with a premium ute canopy that's up to 60 per cent lighter than an alloy equivalent.

With a similar fibreglass one-piece composite construction to Tekton's top-shelf Melbourne-built hard-shell campers, composite internal cabinetry and an auto paint style finish, the Melbourne-built canopy boasts a base weight of just 110kg, with the service body version coming in a smidge higher at 135kg.
Of course, the 'lighter, more expensive' conundrum applies here, but it's one way to solve GVM/GCM issues if you can afford it...
Drouin South, Victoria-based Wallaroo is one of those super low-volume/high quality manufacturers that fly under the radar in Australia's crowded RV market.
But there's a bit of wow-factor about the Wallaroo 48V Hybrid that broke cover earlier this year; the full composite model offering a fresh take on the popular half camper/half caravan hybrid format.

The stand-out design feature is the front cafe-style kitchen with A-frame deck that really helps bring the outside in, while the tall, power-operated pop-top helps deliver a tree house-feel in the kids' 'bedroom'.
Is this Australia's coolest off-grid hybrid caravan? It's gotta come close!
While not perfect there's a lot to like about the Ute Cabin slide-on camper, which we reviewed in top-spec King Class form in 2025.

What's really appealing is how they've managed to create compact caravan-like expandable living quarters from a pretty small unit, while offering another relatively user-friendly camper solution for the hundreds of thousands of dual-cab utes with fixed tubs running around on Australian roads...
While EV passenger cars are gathering momentum, it's very early days for plug-in campervans. So early that AdventureEV is the first to offer a full battery-powered turn-key motorhome in the Aussie market.

The Queensland start-up is offering customised camper conversions for the Skywell EC11 E-Cargo van and battery-electric Farizon SuperVan, with one customer recently spotted crossing the Nullarbor.
We expect to see more established Aussie motorhome manufacturers offering 'green machines' in 2026, especially with all the benefits of having a plug-in 'fuel tank' when staying overnight at a powered caravan park site.
It's been a big year for Brisbane's Bruder, with the launch of its first full height caravan and price record setting EXP-10 expedition trailer; not to mention a sneak peak of one of its military stealth towables.

With a starting price of $385,000, the EXP-10 is one of the most advanced off-grid campers ever built and sold down under, with up to a 60kWh 48V lithium battery system, roof water harvesting system, Bruder's fully sealed chassis and patented airbag suspension and a unique layout including inside/outside waterfall shower, among its many tricks and treats...
With Lotus LC Customs and Titanium Caravan's Wolf Fabrications leading the way in the latest Aussie off-road 'heavy metal' caravan trend, it's no surprise to hear that Jayco founder Gerry Ryan acquired his own metal fabrication business and started to roll out some fresh 'ÇNC-cut alloy' models in 2025.

The CrossTrail is Jayco's new entry-level model aimed at dirt-loving campers on a budget, and we're fans of the built-for-purpose minimalist approach, with multiple options to take it from bare-boned week-end hauler to a fully equipped sleep platform and camp kitchen.
There are at least two things that really appeal to us about OTM's latest Galaxy couple's ensuite 'van.
The compact size and unloaded weight (1535kg Tare and 15ft body length) is a breath of fresh air in an industry where long, heavyweight, hard to tow caravans are becoming the norm.

We also like the left-field thinking that went into the layout, right down to the cafe-style flip up window next to the dinette. While we're not sure OTM has got the design quite right, with the big offside window opening up to your nearby caravan neighbour unless you're free camping, you can probably overlook that with a starting price of just over $50K.
Toy hauler campers are nothing new, but the X Hunter 'van cave' toy hauler with its standard gun locker and on-board beer keg with dual taps is a novel approach to attracting a certain type of buyer!
The Stockman Trekka is another niche toy hauler design that turned heads when it hit the market in late-2025, targeting another specific type of outdoor enthusiast: mountain bike riders.
Inspired by Stockman owner and head designer, Phil Savory’s own passion for heading off camping with his mountain bikes, it neatly incorporates a front tunnel boot with fold-ramp ramp in the slick body design that's big enough for storing, protecting and in some cases, charging up a couple of expensive pushbikes when you're out touring the countryside.
Caravan ínfluencers are starting to have a big say in many caravan buying decisions, and a few are even designing 'vans for local manufacturers.

Priced at $300,000-plus if you want to order one yourself, the show-stopping Sunland LTD ADU Edition off-grid model is the dream 'van of Youtubing couple 'Aussie Destinations Unknown', and comes loaded up with innovative and luxury features including an Australian RV industry first Simarine Nereide 2 digital switching system, American walnut furniture veneer, 770L total water tanks and a yoga studio/bathroom.
Another 'burger with the lot', the Kokoka Counterstrike Vincere is the latest tour de force created from the fertile imaginations of Trevor and Kathryn Price, owners of Melbourne's Kokoda Caravans.

While we're yet to witness how it all works out in the wild, the list of 'standard' features on this $400K limited-edition super-van is mind boggling: auto levelling and stabilizing, electric incinerator toilet, on-board atmospheric water generator, reclining/massaging king size bed with home theatre, and 7.3kW rooftop solar slide-outs for charging the 30kWh lithium battery system... and that's just a handful of the many highlights!
Another lightweight 'van in a sea of heavyweight contenders, the Fantasy Cubby is a Chinese-built 'çopy-cat' 'van with a difference: blending Chinese auto-style 'full metal jacket'' construction with Euro-style lightweight design and trendy interior fit-out, and brash American-style paintwork (pink is one of a handful of eye-catching exterior colours available).

Love it or loathe it, the $43,990 starting price for the 13ft model makes a lot of sense for first-time buyers or those looking to down-size from a bigger 'van.
