•18 Sept 2023When you’re out camping and your noisy, smelly generator runs out of fuel, or there’s an electricity grid outage when you’re at the caravan park, you soon see how much we rely on electricity in our daily lives. Now, however, clean, quiet and reliable power can always be on hand wherever you go, with the new DELTA 2 portable power station.

The new DELTA 2 comes from innovative and respected renewable energy company, EcoFlow, and after taking the US by storm the DELTA 2 is now available here in Australia.
This is an ideal solution for those who don’t want the hassle of inconsistent power supply – or no power at all – when touring in RVs, camping, or even for a day out on the boat. Compared to traditional power generation options, EcoFlow says the DELTA 2 is cleaner, quieter, lighter and cheaper – it’s a win on all fronts!

The EcoFlow DELTA 2 portable battery pack can power all your appliances when you’re out and about and, unlike some so-called ‘portable’ power packs, it’s easy to carry. It’s light enough that you can stuff it into the car boot with one hand without taking up valuable luggage space.
The DELTA 2 weighs only 12kg, which for its size and available output is lighter than many other comparable products. The DELTA 2 is also compact: at just 400mm x 211mm x 281mm, it won’t take up much room whether it’s stored at home, in the caravan or motorhome, the car boot, or out on the boat.

The DELTA 2 offers up to 3kWh of power. It has 1024Wh of portable power capacity as standard, which can be expanded to 2048Wh with the DELTA 2 Extra Battery or 3040Wh with an additional DELTA Max Extra Battery.

Using AC power, a zero to 80 per cent capacity charge time isonly 50 minutes. You can also charge using up to 500W of solar. Using even just two 220W EcoFlow solar panels, the unit can be fully charged in 2.3 hours.
This means that, when camping, even if the DELTA 2’s power has been depleted after a night of use, connecting the unit’s solar panels before you go to sleep is all you need to do to ensure the DELTA 2 is ready for use the next morning – the morning sunlight before you wake is often sufficient to fully charge the DELTA 2’s battery.
The DELTA 2 may be powerful and lightweight, but it’s also smart. Supported by WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, the DELTA 2 affords easy remote power management via the complementary EcoFlow app, allowing fingertip control via your smartphone or tablet.

The DELTA 2 can charge just about all electrical appliances, many times over. For example, you could charge a mobile phone 89 times, or a laptop 16 times. Need a car fridge running at camp? No problem, you can do that for up to 32 hours on a single charge. You can even get nearly an hour’s worth of power for making coffee with a 1000W coffee machine!
Meanwhile, its 13 power ports allow you to charge many devices simultaneously. We’re talking everything from a camp light, laptop, camera, microwave, hair dryer, coffee maker, or even a blender, as well as a car fridge or even a TV and video-game console. The Delta 2 also offers 1800W worth of AC power with six output ports.
It’s easy to forget that for some appliances, start-up wattage requirements can be much higher than running wattage. But DELTA 2’s X-Boost feature provides a short burst of AC output to get high-wattage appliances up and running. The DELTA 2 can support up to 2700W maximum output surge power using X-Boost.

Then there are the two 3A DC output ports and six USB ports, along with the auxiliary 12V port – even two DC5521 output ports, also known as barrel plugs
As for charging the EcoFlow DELTA 2, it’s versatile there, too. You can choose between AC charging up to 1200W maximum at 10A, or solar charging via available panels sold separately, at 11V to 60V/15A maximum and up to 500W.
The LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery offers 3000 cycles to 80 per cent life. This is six times the industry average of 500 cycles, says EcoFlow, and means you could potentially use the DELTA 2 once a day for nearly 10 years!
It’s also very safe, with over-voltage protection, overload protection, over-temperature protection, protection against short circuits, low temperature, low voltage, and over-current protection.
The EcoFlow DELTA 2 comes with an AC charging cable, car charging cable, and DC5521 to DC5525 cable.

Grid power can fail, and often at the worst possible time. However, the EcoFlow DELTA 2 can also be used as a backup supply when unexpected power outages strike. Even when you want to power backyard BBQ parties, the DELTA 2 opens up a new world of convenience.

With its outstanding durability and long service life, you can rest easy in the knowledge that EcoFlow supports its products with comprehensive aftersales backup. The DELTA 2 is available from over 400 stores nationwide, where you can experience the DELTA 2 for yourself. The DELTA 2 comes with a long 5-year warranty and a 30-day price-match guarantee, and EcoFLow promises a less-than 48-hour response time to any issues you may have after purchase. There’s even an Australian Facebook community for the DELTA 2, where you will find tips and tricks from other DELTA2 owners.

EcoFlow is a leading light in the renewable energy space, selling its products across Europe, Asia, and Africa, as well as in the USA. The company offers a wide range of such products, including EcoFlow Power Kits, which are compact modular power solutions for tiny homes and RVs.
