Tested: Supafit Seat Covers

Canvas and denim 4x4 seat covers designed for harsh Australian conditions
Perth based manufacturer, Supafit Seat Covers, specialise in Australian-made seat covers for mining, commercial and recreational vehicles, claiming the mantle for the nation’s largest range.
A quick glance at their website shows options for four wheel drives, buses, coaches, agricultural machinery, commercial vehicles and custom-cut applications.
Supafit boast over 20 years in the game, collaborating with one of Australia’s leading canvas providers to produce their own Aussie-made fabric, using the latest in airbag seam technology to ensure the safe deployment of seat mounted airbags.
And being designed and manufactured locally for our conditions, they offer the best protection against bacteria, mould and sun damage.
Supafit claim their locally made products are free from allergies associated with the use of multiple chemicals, something which imported products are not assessed for.
We had a look at the canvas and denim seat covers manufactured for four wheel drives. The canvas covers are geared for mining and commercial applications whereas the denim is targeting recreational buyers.
For those who like the technical specs, the canvas covers are a medium weight coarse weave poly/cotton with a proofed 14.9oz weight, available in black, brown and grey.
The denim covers are manufactured from a dyed laminated cotton twill fabric, specially designed for car and seat covers in black or grey. Both offer a large rear pocket and cutouts for lumbar and seat adjusters
I particularly liked the grey denim for its premium look and comfort. The laminated finish still manages to look stylish while providing protection for the seats, resisting stains and dirt.
It’s a product that will enhance the interior look and feel of modern vehicles without looking out of place.
As expected, the canvas covers have a coarser feel in line with their expected duty. Whatever you choose, they’re both designed to protect your vehicle’s original seating.
The covers are available off the shelf for all the popular models with new models added regularly.
Pricing is from $317 a pair (driver and passenger seating), vehicle dependent, which is great value given the quality. Second row and third row seating is also available.
The covers are available online or through local stockists, or visit the Supafit Seat Covers website for more information:
