Queensland-based Talvor has set up a new RV manufacturing company in the USA.
According to a press release, Talvor USA has started manufacturing a range of travel trailers, toy haulers, fifth wheelers and Class B vans at a 4.8 acre production facility in Perris, California.
Heading up the new company is “industry veteran” Pablo Carmona, who most recently held the position of chief operating officer and president of manufacturing at failed Californian RV manufacturer MVP RV. Carmona is joined by experienced American RV industry operators Michelle Treangen (general manager), and Steve Hauser (sales manager-controller).
While the range will primarily be sold in the US from early-2013, Talvor USA in conjunction with Talvor in Australia “will also be exploring export opportunities to Australia, Korea and China”.
Despite a recent downturn in the American RV market which has resulted in the demise of a number of companies, Talvor Australia CEO Luke Trouchet said he’s confident the new enterprise will successful “because the American team has the expertise and experience to meet and exceed the expectations of the RV market”.
The US-spec Talvor USA vehicles are described as “rugged, yet attractive” and incorporate “contemporary styling and design features that set them apart from the competition”.
“Beyond the wheels and chassis, Talvor USA vehicles are based on an understanding of what the modern traveler desires,” said Carmona. “Our customers want a place to get away while going to amazing places. We believe that to own a Talvor USA recreational vehicle will be to own endless possibilities.”
Talvor is the manufacturing and retail arm of RV rental giant Apollo Campers, which was established in 1985 and currently runs rental fleets throughout the USA as well as Australia and New Zealand.
