The Track Trailer Tvan that followed Sunrise weather presenter Edwina Bartholomew around the country for six months as part of a ‘Lap of the Map’ caravan industry promotion, is being auctioned for charity.
The hard-core, hard-body, off-road camper trailer, towed by a Nissan Pathfinder was a regular backdrop during live weather ‘crosses’ on the Channel 7 breakfast program, visiting iconic destinations as well as some of Australia’s best campgrounds and caravan parks.
The tour kicked off in Tasmania in February this year, before heading clockwise from Victoria to Western Australia, up to the Top End and back through Queensland to the southern states.

shows that it came in handy carting some 'gourmet delights' collected en-route – but the slide-out kitchen definitely got a workout judging by the photos.
The military-spec underpinnings should be in relatively good shape too, despite clocking up 35,000km and tackling the bumpy Gibb River Road.
Valued at around $50,000, the 'Mk3' Tvan is fitted with a number of options including a front storage half-box, sliding drawer and jerry can holders, 300W pure sine wave inverter, 60W fixed solar panels, three-speed fan and roof-storage nets.
While it might have a few ‘battle scars’, the premium Australian-built camper will be fully serviced by Track Trailer and come with the balance of the new vehicle warranty.
The only potential catch for the winning bidder is having to pick it up from Track Trailer’s Bayswater, Victoria premises. And don't worry -- the exterior stickers are easily removed!
The trip was supported by the Caravan Industry Association of Australia, and proceeds from the sale will be divided between two charities: Buy a Bale and the Born to Run Foundation.
The auction closes at midnight, October 29, and a $35,000 reserve has been set. For further details or to make a bid, click
