Stunning new Big Red Slider goes on sale

New Age Caravans has released an updated 19ft Big Red Slider model for 2025, making a host of improvements to both the design as well as some equipment tweaks for the latest version of its Big Lap luxury couple's tourer.

One of two caravans offered with slide-out walls by the Melbourne manufacturer, the Big Red 19ft Ensuite Slider made its public debut at the recent Border Caravan and Camping Leisurefest Show in Victoria, and is currently on display at The Touring Hub, the New Age dealer in Melbourne's north.

The new tandem-axle 19ft slider gets the latest exterior and interior styling updates seen on other New Age models like the Road Owl and Manta Ray, including smooth white aluminium composite body panels and a composite floor to go with fresh Big Red decals and signage, a black checker plate front toolbox, signature Walkinshaw rear wall design, and black 15in alloys with matching wheel spats.

While inside, the MY25 makeover includes sleek new, handle-free overhead cabinetry with in-built LED strip lighting instead of downlights, black sinks and tapware, and some fresh decor and colour options including a light timber-hue look for the kitchen splashback.

Externally, the Big Red Slider also comes with a Fusion speaker panel, powered awning, twin 9kg gas bottles, a reversing camera, two 110L fresh water and one 110L grey water tanks, and 400W rooftop solar that feeds a 220Ah lithium battery system.

Other standard equipment includes a 224L compressor fridge and freezer, four-hob cooktop and grille, microwave, internal Fusion speaker, BMPro touchscreen, and a rooftop air conditioner, plus there's a cassette toilet, wall-mounted washing machine and shower cubicle in the full width ensuite.

The spacious layout provides lots of comfy seating courtesy of a large club lounge and dinette with leatherette upholstery (that also converts to another bed), and there's plenty of floorspace and storage options thanks to the slide-out queen bed, with a wall of cupboards directly opposite that incorporates a recessed tabletop with a powered, pop-up stand for the 40in Smart TV (another 28in TV is also included).

The on-road suspension set-up includes leaf springs and a beam axle, with a 50mm ball coupling, 10in electric drum brakes, Bosch Tow Assist, and all terrain tyres also fitted to the galvanised chassis.

Tare weight is listed at 2640kg, with an ATM of 3340kg delivering a decent payload of 700kg.
