Veteran racing car driver James Courtney has received a special send-off at the Snowy River Caravans headquarters in Somerton, Victoria, after the 45-year-old recently announced his retirement from full-time motorsport.
Courtney's Snowy River Caravans-sponsored #7 Mustang had its final outing at the recent Adelaide 500, finishing up a four year partnership with the fast-growing caravan manufacturer which included a brand ambassador role.

The factory came to a standstill as more than 200 staff, from the production floor through to the executive team, lined up to greet Courtney, each proudly wearing a custom “Thank You James” shirt.
The Blanchard Racing Team (BRT) and eye-catching #7 Snowy River racer complete with custom retirement livery were also in attendance.
“James has been an outstanding ambassador for the brand over the last four years," Snowy River Caravans CEO, Andrew Crank said.

"We were extremely fortunate that when we joined Tickford in 2022, Car 5 and James were available, and we then continued the relationship with Car 7 at BRT. JC has been a pleasure to work with and a true professional on and off the track," he continued.
“He’s had an incredible racing career, and we’ve valued the partnership throughout. We wish him all the best in what comes next, with Team 18, his flourishing real estate career, and his continued involvement in Supercars."
An emotional Courtney also spoke at the event.
“This kind of send-off genuinely means the world to me," the 2010 Supercars champion and former Formula One test driver said.
"I’ve worked with some fantastic brands over my career, but Snowy River has felt like home from the moment I walked through the door. It’s the people here, the pride on the floor, the energy in the place – it’s rare, and it’s special.
"Everywhere I go, I meet people who either own a Snowy or tell me it’s the van they want next, and that makes me incredibly proud. I’m excited about the next chapter, and while today is a big moment, it’s not goodbye – I’m just not racing as much.”
