Snowy River signs up celebrity cook

MasterChef Australia contestant turns brand ambassador for new YouTube caravan cuisine series

Snowy River's eye-catching turquoise logo is already a common sight at high-octane sporting events around the country, from car racing in Tasmania to professional bull riding in Townsville, but now the 10-year old RV brand is entering the popular online space of YouTube camp cooking, with the launch of a new on-the-road caravan cuisine series.

The fast-growing Aussie/China RV brand has signed up two-time MasterChef Australia contestant Rhiannon Anderson as its latest brand ambassador and Anderson, together with her husband Dean and daughter Monique, is hitting the road with a Snowy River SRC-21S slide-out caravan as the star of a new 'Rhiplenish on the Road' travel series.

"From Townsville to Tasmania, and everywhere in between, Rhiannon is cooking her way across the country in her new YouTube series, Rhiplenish on the Road, premiering this month," Snowy River said in a statement.

"Each episode features a fresh, easy-to-make recipe using local ingredients, cooked right from her caravan kitchen. From pulled pork tacos with pineapple-jalapeño salsa to her famous coral trout wontons, Rhiannon’s food is as inviting as the scenery she’ll be travelling through."

Snowy River's 21ft SRC twin-berth slide-out 'van packs in plenty of comfort features for its $78,490 tow-away price, and according to Rhiannon it was "time for a bit of luxury” after camping in tents for the past 18 years.

“The space, the kitchen layout, the big dining area… we love everything about our van,” the one-time water ski champ said.

“We’ll be waterskiing, visiting markets, meeting local legends, and always cooking something delicious. I want to show Aussies just how much fun it is to travel and cook on the road,” she said.

Rhiplenish on the Road is the latest partnership promotion for Snowy River, which also has major signage deals at Supercars Championship races and PBR bull riding events.

With a factory in China and final assembly plant in Melbourne, Snowy River has quickly grown to become Australia's second biggest-selling caravan brand, with 2804 Snowy River caravans delivered down under in 2024, up from 2165 units in 2023. The parent company also sells Regent and NewGen 'vans in Australia.

Recently expanding its range with new hybrids and campervans, Snowy River is also planning to release a new ERV (gasless, all-electric) towable model later this year, featuring off-grid power systems supplied by Chinese firm Tianjin Guoxuan New Energy Technology Company.
