NSW-based Skamper Kampers has introduced a new entry-level model to its Chinese-built hard-floor camper range.
Priced from $16,500, the new Dingo Pup forward-fold tent trailer is $3000 cheaper than the Dingo model, however it misses out on some of the standard features of the Dingo including the premium slide-out kitchen.

The upside is the Dingo Pup is a lot lighter, with a Tare weight of 1160kg, ATM of 1600kg ATM and ball weight (Tare) of 100kg, making it towable by smaller tow vehicles.
When set up, the Dingo Pup incorporates a queen-size bed and six-seat convertible lounge within the undercover tent section, which is made from heavy-duty 15oz canvas. Also part of the standard tent package is an ensuite, annexe roof and walls, a tropical roof and 600gsm PVC floor.

The new Dingo Pup is built on a galvanised chassis, featuring independent suspension with dual shocks, 10in electric brakes and 15in alloy wheels with mud tyres.
Its slide-out kitchen includes a portable two burner stove, stainless steel sink and storage compartments, while also part of the standard package is a 120L stainless steel water tank, ARK jockey wheel, McHitch off-road coupling, 100Ah battery and CTEK charger, electric water pump, shower outlet, LED lights, jerry can and gas bottle holders, fridge slide and 12V/USB sockets.

The Dingo Pup uses Skamper Kampers’ gas strut tent pole system, promising a set-up time of around 10 minutes, and is backed by a five year chassis structural warranty
Skamper Kampers has been offering both soft-floor and hard-floor imported campers for nine years now, from the $8000 soft-floor Ranger to the range-topping $28,500 Dingo Ultimate hard-floor model.
