Veteran comedian Jimeoin is aiming to spread some laughter during lockdown in a new light-hearted TV series kicking off this Sunday called 'Waltzing Jimeoin'.
Part road trip, part travel show and part comedy tour, the new reality show includes stop-offs at a number of coastal caravan parks from Sydney to Airlie Beach where the 55-year old Irish comedian and actor performs outside to park guests.
A mainstay of the local stand-up comedy scene for decades, Jimeoin said he got the idea during last year's lockdowns to take his live shows to the road.

"The concept came up when I was in lockdown in Melbourne. I walked past a caravan and thought, nobody’s going to be travelling overseas, I could just stay here and do some sort of travel show," he told the Age.
"In the UK people tried to do shows outside, and I thought well maybe I’ll just do something like that, that involves camping and staying in caravans."
A bit like Jerry Seinfeld's 'Comedians in Cars getting Coffee', each episode of 'Waltzing Jimeoin' features a different guest comic, including his long-time friend Akmal, Georgie Carroll, Michael “Dolly” Dolton, Dane Simpson and Emma Zammit.

As well as the comedy tour at holiday parks on the road trip up through NSW and Queensland, the comedian hops on a cruise through the Whitsundays and visits Fraser Island.
Sponsored by G'Day Parks, 'Waltzing Jimeoin' kicks off on Channel 10 this Sunday, August 29, at 4pm, and runs for eight weeks.
Judging by the trailer it promises more than a few laughs, shaping up as a cross between Grey Nomads and Russell Coight's All Aussie Adventures!
