Seachange Caravans is marking its first major foray into the Sydney market by offering a big discount on the latest model to join its premium off-road range.
Exhibiting for the first time at the NSW Caravan, Camping & Touring Supershow, which kicks off this Saturday (March 20), the fledgling Queensland manufacturer has slashed the base price of its 595 model by just over $9000, to $79,990. The offer is only available on orders taken during the nine-day show.
Launched in late-2012, the 595 boosted the Seachange range to four main models and 45 variants in total. As the model name suggests, it has a 5.95m (19ft 5in) long body, along with a Tare weight of 2160kg and generous 840kg payload capacity.
Like other Seachange models, the 595 Series was created by Peter Russell, formerly of Boroma as well as the Chinese-built Exclusive Caravans. Designed for serious off-road use, it’s available in three grades – Escape, Liberty and Elite – and features an aluminium frame/fibreglass body, hybrid galvanised steel/aluminium chassis and with optional Cruisemaster independent coil suspension.
Single bed and queen size bed layouts are available, all with a separate shower and toilet, cafe dinette and kitchen with four-burner cooktop, fridge and microwave.
Standard features include 220 litre water storage, two 9kg gas bottles, 12V electrical system with 120Ah battery and 25 amp battery charger, Truma air-conditioner, 12V 22in TV and Jack aerial, and four-speaker audio/DVD unit.
Fibreglass trailerboat specialist The Haines Group, launched the Seachange brand in late-2011, with the caravans built at the same south-east Queensland factory as the 50-year-old manufacturer’s range of Signature, Traveller and Seafarer boats.
Seachange will have two vans on display at the Sydney Supershow, a 595 and 640, both in top-spec Elite trim.
