Saracen Gullwing hitch lock

New anti-theft device for Euro-style Al-Ko hitches prevents your van from being towed away

Melbourne-based Purple Line has introduced a heavy-duty hitch lock for owners of British or European caravans with Al-Ko stabiliser hitches.

The Saracen Gullwing FHL555 is designed to secure the Al-Ko AKS2004 and AKS3004 hitches fitted to Euro brands such as Bailey, Swift and Adria.

The bright orange hitch lock is made from hardened, high tensile steel that’s resistant to cutting and drilling while the Lowe and Fletcher lock is resistant to picking and freezing.

According to Purple Line, it takes less than a minute to install the locking receiver, while the lock itself can be fitted in a few seconds with one hand.

The Gullwing can be fitted whether the van is hitched or unhitched, and comes with two keys in its own storage bag.

The new device joins the Saracen 50mm hitch lock and Nemesis wheel clamp in Purple Line’s range of anti-theft products.

It costs $149 and is distributed throughout Australia by Coast to Coast.
