Safiery 48V wins Best New Technology award
Pioneering off-grid 48V power system gets major gong in 2021 caravancampingsales Innovation Awards
A front-runner in the roll-out of 48V power technology across the Australia RV industry, has won a major prize in the 2021 caravancampingsales Innovation Awards.
Queensland-based Safiery picks up the Best New Technology gong in the inaugural Innovation Awards, which are designed to recognize and reward advancements in the areas of technology, design, quality and safety throughout the Australian RV industry.
Pioneered by well-known RV industry identity Bruce Loxton, the Safiery 48V power system nabbed three out of the four judges’ top votes in the Best New Technology category, easily beating out the CRZR extreme off-road chassis and Jacka Industries electric camper trailer roof-top mechanism, for the trophy.
Other contenders in the Best New Technology category included the BMPRO ProSmart Premium wireless caravan monitoring kit, the Kedron ScrubPak solar panel platform and AOR’s ‘silent flush’ macerator toilet.
Caravancampingsales regular contributor and Innovation Awards judge Michael Browning said the Safiery 48V off-grid systems, which are manufactured on Queensland's Gold Coast, are a real advance in long-term off-grid power.
“With more than 30 design templates available, these advanced power systems have already received a rapid uptake by many leading OEM caravan and motorhome brands,” he said.
"48-volt power ushers in a new era of convenience for RV travellers that liberates them from having to rely on fixed mains-powered caravan facilities in order to enjoy the 21st century comforts they enjoy at home.
“As a result, these power systems are certain to encourage adventurous Australians to venture further afield to experience hitherto remote areas.
“Once 48-volt systems are adopted and optioned by Australia’s leading manufacturers, it's only a matter of time before RVs factory-fitted with these systems attract premium prices on the used market, effectively future-proofing them.”
Other categroy winners in the 2021 caravancampingsales Innovation Awards include the Geotrek Trek-XP (Best New RV), Boss RT1 (Best New Product/Accessory) and AL-KO Tow Assist (Best New Safety Feature).
