Safety recall for Windsor and Winnebago motorhomes
Risk of underbody water tank falling off on some Australian motorhomesThe ACCC has announced a national recall of 711 motorhomes due to safety concerns around the fitment of an underbody water tank.
The ACCC said there’s a risk that the underbody water tank mounting rods on the affected motorhomes may crack, potentially resulting in the water tank dislodging or falling off.
“If the underbody water tank falls off the motorhome, it may increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to road users," the ACCC said.
The ACCC said AMH Products will contact affected consumers in writing to request that they make an appointment to have their motorhome repaired. Consumers are also being advised to stop using their water tanks.
The affected motorhomes were built between February 2012 and December 2020 and include Talvor branded Euro Deluxe (Iveco Daily), Euro Star (Iveco Daily) and Hayman Slide-Out models;
Winnebago Airlie, Burleigh, Coogee, Iluka, Jervis, Kirra and Whitehaven models, and Windsor Simpson and Flinders models.
