RV Wi-Fi+

RV-specific router designed to keep caravanners connected has been upgraded for 2017
Melbourne-based RV Wi-Fi has released a new, upgraded version of its

RV-specific wi-fi router kit.

As well as creating a wi-fi hot spot around your caravan or motorhome, the new RV WiFi+ boasts additional features including a built-in media centre, that allows wireless access to movies, images or music stored on a USB stick or external hard drive, or via a Smart TV.
According to RV Wi-Fi’s Ross Irvine, the update also includes enhanced reception with fitment of an optional external antenna, as well as improved wi-fi performance with two wi-fi antennas.
RV Wi-Fi+ is optimised for Telstra but will work with most mobile carriers including Optus and Vodafone, and works on mobile as well as pre-paid plans. Running off the RV’s 12V battery, it will also let you set your own password.

Like the original RV WiFi, the wi-fi hot spot can also extend inside the car while towing the caravan.

The unit is usually fitted at the time of manufacture, or there’s a DIY option for older vans.
