There's a mix of familiar and not so familiar brands exhibiting at one of the first caravan shows of 2024; the Geelong Outdoor Living & Caravan Expo that runs from January 19-21 at the Geelong Showgrounds in Victoria.
Organisers of the dog-friendly show have managed to include a number of well-established manufacturers among the 120-odd exhibitors at the Geelong Showgrounds over the three-day week-end event, including Supreme, Crusader, Snowy River, Vacationer, Windsor, New Age, Lotus, Retreat, Cub Campers and Ezytrail.
But for those looking for something a bit different there are also a number of start-ups, fresh and less familiar brands on the exhibitor list of the 10th anniversary show.
These include GO MAX caravans, a Campbellfield, Victoria based outfit that offers a number of full height, family and couple touring and off-road caravans on its website, as well as more compact and affordable models like the 11ft 3in Weekender Max.
Another new Melbourne based RV brand, KOR Campers, lists a number of hybrid models on its website, but it's most likely its well-equipped Adventure Seeker tandem axle hybrid demo camper, complete with powered roof and awning, will be front and centre of its display at the annual Geelong show.
UMateRV is another unfamiliar name listed as an exhibitor at '24 Geelong Expo. There's limited information available online but according to this recently uploaded Youtube video, it appears to be a stylish new Chinese-built slide-on camper designed to fit on the back of a dual-cab ute.
Three teardrop camper brands are also listed on the 'Pod Town' display stand, including Geelong-based Gumnut Campers, Melbourne-based Nimble Campers, and the Dandenong, Victoria based supplier of Venture Teardrops, described as a high-quality teardrop camper with pricing starting at $29,770 according to the website.
Meanwhile, fledgling Melbourne caravan builder My Dream RV will also have their latest custom built 'Electric Dream' off-grid caravan on display, along with the owners on site to answer any questions.
Queensland's Trackabout campers which has been building a two-model range of off-road camper trailers for a number of years, will also display a range of Ausflex and Torus RV caravans at the Geelong show.
Show-goers will also have the chance to win a $2500 voucher from the show's main sponsor, the Spirit of Tasmania.
