More than a year in development, the 'Go Make Some Memories' campaign has both a Victorian and a national focus and includes a new informational website, outdoor and point-of-sale advertising, and a TV campaign co-developed with the Caravan RV & Accommodation Industry of Australia (CRVA), which launched its own promotional campaign recently called Experience Caravanning and Camping.
The CEO of the Caravan Industry Association - Victoria, Rob Lucas, said Go Make Some Memories was all about reminding people of the joys of the caravan and camping lifestyle.
“People are forever telling us how they enjoyed caravanning and camping as children, and what wonderful memories they have,” he said.
“Go Make Some Memories will help people to go out and make new memories that they and their families will carry through their lives.
“It tells them everything they need about where to go, how to get there, and a whole lot more.”
Described as “the voice of Victoria’s caravan and camping industry since 1952” on its official website, the Victorian division of the CIA represents around 200, mostly Victorian businesses involved in the RV industry including manufacturers, dealers and service providers.
Lucas said CIA members would integrate the campaign into their own marketing activities, with the use of specially designed posters, banners, point-of-sale materials and bumper stickers.
