Canadian-built, glass tilt-roof Alto, the new Little Buddy teardrop-style camper also has European origins and is the latest addition to the long-standing Melbourne manufacturer’s Little RV Co side business.

Its bright, funky styling certainly attracted plenty of attention when it debuted at this year’s Victorian Caravan Supershow, as did its ball weight of 50kg, Tare weight of 750kg and 1000kg ATM, meaning it can be towed by many small four-cylinder hatchbacks and sedans.
Boasting fibreglass sandwich panel construction with 30mm of insulation and a one-piece PVC floor, the Little Buddy sits on a lightweight chassis, with wind-down jacks, 50mm Al-Ko coupling, 13in alloys, spare wheel and painted front toolbox included in the package.
Measuring 4.36m long by 2.1m wide overall, the Little Buddy's compact interior doubles as either a large lounge/dinette or double bed measuring 1.95m by 2.0m, with a small shelf and some internal cabinetry for storage.
The rear, outside kitchen is finished in a light timber ply and features a built-in two burner gas cooktop and stainless steel sink with mixer tap as well as a 50 litre portable fridge
Other standard features on the Little Buddy include an LCD TV/DVD and CD stereo with two speakers, 120Ah AGM battery and 20amp charger, gas bayonet, 12V water pump, double glazed windows, variable speed roof vent, 9kg gas bottle, 50 litre fresh water tank, 12V/240V points and LED lighting.
Aside from the sporty orange, cream and black exterior colour scheme (other colours and options are available) on the display model, the Little Buddy caught the eye with its stylish ‘porthole’ entry door, a display monitor with retro chrome gauges and two wireless induction points for charging mobile phones.
Pricing starts at $22,000. Check the
