Following on from a makeover of its Road Owl family range, Melbourne's New Age has released details of further updates to its range of Manta Ray couple's caravans.
Now available to order at dealers, the MY24 Manta Ray range is available in either single or tandem axle configurations; in three body sizes - 16ft, 18ft and 19ft -- and in standard or Adventurer spec.
New Age says all six new Manta Ray variants come equipped with full ensuites and are "ideal for couples or singles seeking to travel Australia in style, with all the space you need".
Like the MY24 Road Owls, the latest Manta Ray vans benefit from a redesigned interior including new 'hidden' LED strip lighting in lieu of traditional roof mounted downlights, along with more comfy and supportive seating, and a new recessed cooktop and more secure microwave surround in the kitchen area.
There are also new reading lights with three adjustable settings and new wireless chargers for the bedroom area.
The MY24 Manta Ray vans all ride on a Walkinshaw designed galvanised chassis fitted with a Cruisemaster DO-35 coupling and XT independent coil suspension, while Bosch Tow Assist Electronic Stability Control is also fitted as standard.
Two 110 litre fresh water tanks and twin 100AGM batteries and a 200W rooftop solar panel are standard, with lithium battery options available.
Other standard features include a reversing camera, twin 9kg gas bottles and gas bayonet, a 17ft awning, 171 litre fridge-freezer, gas-electric hot water unit, 28in Smart TV, and a rooftop air conditioner and Fusion stereo.
Like all New Age models, the latest Manta Ray vans come complete with Vehicle Type Approval as per the upcoming Road Vehicle Standards Act (RVSA) introduction.
Priced from $79,000, the MY24 Manta Ray range will soon enter the production line at the New Age manufacturing facility in Epping, Victoria, with the first vans expected to hit the road in the third quarter of this year.
“It’s fantastic for us at New Age Caravans to launch our new and improved Manta Ray range, perfect for couples or the solo-traveler exploring our great country," New Age Caravans Managing Director Chris Polites said.
“Following on from the new Road Owl that was launched recently, we’ve taken the same approach with the Manta Ray - a fresh look with a raft of modern upgrades to take it to a new level. Inside and out, the inclusions and options available mean the Manta Ray is a market leader at an affordable price."
