Ripper deals on locally-built caravans

It's not just the importers offering some great deals at the moment.

Some of Australia's biggest caravan manufacturers are trying to prise open the wallets of increasingly cautious consumers, with some decent discounts, bonus add-ons and after-sales inclusions...

In a new partnership deal with Camplify, the Melbourne-based JB Group is including 12 months of complimentary RV protection (a type of insurance) through Club Camplify, on every new RV purchased across the JB family of brands — New Age Caravans, Traveller Caravans, Network RV and JB Caravans.

That might end up saving you thousands of dollars in after-sale expenses, depending on the model.

Motorhome buyers can also take advantage of another current JB deal: free on-roads when purchasing one of its motorhomes or campervans (New Age, Paradise or JB). The offers applies to new builds and new yard stock, and runs until October 31.

Jayco's latest 'Made for Summer Sale' runs until September 12 and includes discounts across its full Melbourne-built range of camper trailers, hybrids, toy haulers, pop-tops, caravans and motorhomes.

The sharpest deals will be on run-out showroom stock so best to contact your nearest Jayco dealer to find out what's available.

As an example, Jayco Melbourne currently has a top-of-the-line MY25 24ft Silverline Ouback with slide-out and optional space heater, advertised for $102,490 tow-away -- that's around $10K saving on the latest 2026 version.

Supreme and Leader Caravans are in full 40th anniversary celebration mode, while the factory owned Australian Caravan Centre dealerships are offering some enticing deals for savvy buyers after a solid locally-built 'van.

For example, a big Leader Gold LE family caravan at the Newcastle outlet is currently being advertised at $99,990 tow-away -- a $6000 reduction on the usual price.

Crusader's budget brand isn't promoting any general deals at the moment, but its latest off-road oriented 'X' Series models are now better value than when they were launched, and more competitive with their Chinese rivals.

For example, a 19 Series SuperX 'van is currently advertised online for sale at the Melbourne dealer, for $89,590 towaway.

While that's around $3000 more than the launch price, you do get quite a few updates and extras on the latest MY26 SuperX variants including a 200Ah lithium battery, 2000W inverter, 460W rooftop solar and airbag suspension.

Melbourne manufacturer Retreat is also celebrating a major milestone in 2026 (its 20th anniversary), and has recently been promoting some sale prices on certain models.

The latest include a 2026 Whitsunday XE 217C priced at $120,000 (a $4K reduction) and a 2026 Retreat Macquarie 186C compact couples’ tourer for $112,550 — a saving of $3000.
