Queensland off-road specialist Rhinomax has released a new family-friendly version of its latest Lost Trak 'luxury hybrid' off-road model.
Like the 18ft 6in tandem axle Rhinomax Lost Trak released last year, the new 16ft single axle Lost Trak is a full-height caravan with slimmer 2.1m wide body to more easily navigate overgrown bush tracks.
Priced from $122,000, the latest Lost Trak features a fibreglass composite body on a galvanised chassis with Cruisemaster XT coil suspension and DO-35 coupling, and comes equipped for off-grid camping with a 225Ah lithium battery system with 'smart' power management, 2200W inverter and 340W roof-top solar, and 220 litre fresh water and 85 litre grey water tanks.
Cooking is outside on a slide-out 'gourmet' kitchen with stainless hot/cold sink, three burner gas stovetop, and a separate 85 litre slide-out fridge/freezer, with a caravan-style interior layout that includes a north-south queen bed, twin bunks, four-seat lounge, small sink and combination shower/toilet.
Other features include a two speaker audio system, digital TV and antenna, gas hot water, diesel space heater, Sirocco fan, tunnel locker and front toolbox with wood carrier, external shower, electric skylight and wind-out awning.
The 2775mm high, 16ft family Lost Trak has a stated Tare of 1980kg, 2500kg ATM and 170kg ball weight.
Rhinomax said the hardcore off-roader "has been designed specifically for families with outback touring and extended off grid travel in mind".
