Retreat supports coward punch cause

Melbourne's Retreat Caravans is throwing its support behind a not-for-profit organisation that aims to empower young people and prevent senseless social violence.

The Campbellfield, Victoria manufacturer is donating a brand-new 21ft 9in family bunk caravan valued at $116,000 as the main prize in an online raffle to raise money for the Pat Cronin Foundation.

After learning how a coward punch tragically ended the life of 19-year-old Victorian footballer and university student Pat Cronin, Retreat Caravans owner Shaz Kaptan decided to assist his family’s endeavours to eliminate the coward punch, by supporting the Pat Cronin Foundation.

The Melbourne-based registered charity provides education, strategies and resources including 'Be Wise' presentations to school students throughout Australia, as well as online e-learning.

The Whitsunday XE 219BSE model donated by Retreat is a 21ft 9in family bunk caravan with full ensuite, and features Retreat's RXP composite construction, independent coil suspension and DO-35 coupling, dual 95L water tanks, 270Ah AGM battery system with 420W rooftop solar, and twin 9kg gas bottles, along with a number of appliances including a 188 litre fridge/freezer, top-load washing machine, roof-top air-conditioner and 24in TV.

The raffle prize includes dealer delivery in a valid state of entry, registration and handover costs.

Tickets cost $10, with the raffle running until 12pm November 24. The winner will be drawn at 1pm on the same day.
