Redarc releases new slimline lithium batteries
Thinner Redlab Icon Slim 100Ah and 200Ah batteries designed to take up less room in your tourerRedarc is making it easier to fit high-capacity off-grid power equipment to your off-roader or caravan, with the release of a new range of slimline lithium batteries.
The South Australian RV electronics specialist says the new Redlab Icon Slim batteries are 'small on space, but big on power', and are designed to fit into tight spaces, like behind seats, under floors, or inside canopies, and take up less space in valuable storage areas like caravan tunnel boots.
Redarc says they're available in 525 x 62 x 300mm, 16kg 100Ah and 610 x 83 x 470mm, 34kg 200Ah variants, and can be paired with a 1200w and 2000w inverter respectively to deliver serious power for fridges, lights, tools and more.
Users can monitor key battery information from a connected phone through the RedVision App, including battery level, voltage, current and temperature.
The batteries are designed to work seamlessly with other Redarc products, and can be installed in a range of orientations thanks to the included mounting brackets. Other features include a dual power button design, and one-metre remote on/off switch cable.
Built-in heating pads also allow the batteries to charge and discharge in temperatures down to –20°C.
Redarc says the Redlab Icon Slim batteries are rigorously tested at Redarc’s South Australia facility, and are backed by a five-year warranty.
“Through conversations with customers, one need kept coming up: as touring and work builds take on more appliances, equipment and devices, available space is becoming harder to find," explained Redarc's Senior Product Manager, Dylan Pinkard.
"They need a power system small enough to be installed out of sight, without sacrificing capacity and capability to keep everything running.”
Prices start at $1599 for the 100Ah battery, with the 200Ah unit priced at $2949. An RBUS extended communications cable ($39.95) and right-angled cable kit ($59.95) are also available.
