Hollywood stars with caravans are not that unusual, but a caravan with a Hollywood movie theme is a rare sight, at least at the caravan parks we frequent.
That's why a 1972 Harris Van Sportline caravan currently advertised for sale on caravancampingsales, that's been extensively refurbished both inside and out including the addition of 'Star Wars' themed decor, really caught our eye...
The unique van is located in Port Adelaide, South Australia which according to the Vintage Caravans website, is not far from where the original Harris Caravans dealership operated in the 1960s and '70s.

Modern paintjob aside, the fully restored van nicknamed 'Van Solo' looks like your typical curved aluminium van of the period from the outside, but step inside and all the excitement of the big screen epic comes to life.
"There has been no stone unturned in the restoration and refurbishment of this classic caravan," the current owner of the Harris Sportline says.
"No expense has been spared and approximately 1500 man hours have been spent bringing this project to completion. It has only been used on three occasions. Would suit the serious collector but it is a fully functional and essentially brand new caravan."

The 16ft single axle van probably started life with a bed or two, kitchenette, some seating and perhaps some bathroom amenities, but it now largely resembles a shrine to one of the most popular movie franchises of all time.
Among the internal highlights are an 'opening credits to Star Wars and galaxy background', CNC-cut custom feature panels with Death Star/Darth Vader pattern, two custom Darth Vader wall sconces, and a full internal vinyl wall wrap complete with Stormtrooper pattern.

Star Wars paraphernalia aside, the fully modernised two berth interior has been enhanced with new fibreglass flooring, two-pack painted overhead cupboards with powdercoated custom aluminium trim, custom matte black cabinetry and bench tops with Kaboodle and RV Labs hardware, and Luxaflex Silhouette block-out blinds on the windows and the Camec security door.
New appliances include a Franke stainless sink with mixer tap, Dometic air-conditioner and two-way fridge, Evakool freezer drawer, LG full size oven, Husky wine/beer fridge, and an auto-lifting 46in Samsung LED TV and Sony BluRay player so you can enjoy all nine Star Wars movies plus various spin-offs without leaving the van.

The interior refurb also includes leather dining seats and an Ikea queen bed and mattress, plus there's a monster 2000Ah lithium battery system for off-grid camping.
Externally, there's fresh two-pack paint with custom wrap graphics, upgraded leaf suspension and hydraulic disc brakes, a refurbished chassis with bead blasted and powdercoated 14in rims, among many other improvements including refurbished and powdercoated windows, a custom front stoneguard and a new continuous hot water system.

Dubbed a "collectors' item", for more reasons than one, the Star Wars themed classic caravan is advertised at $55,000 -- or about $5000 more than the cheapest 2023-build 15ft Jayco Starcraft (not featured in any of the Star Wars movies despite the name!).
