With waiting lists stretching out to 12 months or more for many popular Australian RV brands, it's good to know you can still pick up a brand-name new caravan if you order now, well in time for the summer holidays.
For those who can't wait to hit the road once the latest lockdowns finish, Melbourne multi-brand dealer Freestyle RVs currently has available more than 40 new vans and campers, in a variety of sizes, layouts and specifications and from different manufacturers, that it says are "guaranteed to be delivered by October 30".
As of September 15, Freestyle RVs had 43 vans available as part of the 'Escape Lockdown' sale, from some well known as well as starter brands including Great Aussie, Retreat, Nova, Elevation and Patriot.
Included are seven models from the Melbourne-built Great Aussie Caravans range, with pricing from $66,104 driveaway for a fully-equipped 19ft 6in semi off-road Great Aussie 2ourer with couple's ensuite layout and bonus $3000 battery/solar upgrade, to $83,734 driveaway for a 18ft 6in full off-road Great Aussie Xplorer couple's ensuite luxury van, with included extras an aluminum body frame, waterfall benchtop and grey water tank.
There are also six Retreat vans ready to be towed away from the Melbourne dealer, including an impressive looking 21ft 6in semi off-road caravan for $86,811 with spacious couple's layout and dealer-exclusive FRV pack including heavy-duty independent coil suspension, extra solar and batteries, reversing camera and grey water tank.
Another eight vans from highly respected Melbourne manufacturer Nova, include three well-equipped Family Escape models priced from $71,990 to $81,990, and aimed at those who like to travel in style and comfort with the family.
There are also a number of Melbourne-built Elevation caravans, priced from as little as $59,990 tow-away (reduced from $101,231 according to the ad!) for a big 21ft 6in tandem axle family van loaded with features including triple bunks, separate shower and toilet and a top-load washing machine.
As Australia's newest Patriot Campers' dealer, Freestyle RVs also has 10 examples of the Queensland manufactuer's lightweight hardcore camper trailers ready to purchase, including a number of X1 models from $46,772 and three of the latest family-friendly X3 campers, from $80,346.
