Reportedly the largest show in the state outside the Royal Queensland Show and now in its 45th year, the 2012 Queensland Caravan, Camping & Touring Holiday Show is expected to attract up to 70,000 people through the turnstiles over seven days.
With around 270 exhibitors covering nearly 50,000 square metres of undercover and outside display space, it promises something for everyone, from the budget camper to prestige motorhome aficionado.
Some of the country’s biggest RV brands will showcase their latest wares, including 32 camper trailer, 36 caravan and 15 campervan and motorhome manufacturers. A selection of the latest fifth-wheelers, tray-tops, and roof-top and family tents will also be on display.
A large range of touring and RV services, camping and 4WD accessories and popular touring destinations will also be showcased, with holiday park and tourism operators from around Australia on hand to provide free information and guides.
Free seminars run every day covering a range of useful topics including working your way around Australia, safe towing, solar and battery usage, and tips for buying and using a caravan or motorhome.
Other attractions include daily door prizes and a major giveaway, and children’s face painting and entertainment.
As there will be limited car parking within the RNA Showgrounds due to construction work, the organizers recommend using public transport to get to the show. A free train service stopping outside the venue will run throughout the event.
Also, don’t forget to drop by and say hello to the friendly crew at the caravancampingsales.com.au display, located at stand 804 in Building 8.
